The Circus Joseph Ashton-provided tent will become The Black Cat Cabaret in Joondalup’s Central Park, providing free entertainment from puppetry and circus to cabaret and comedy.

People can grab a bean bag or seat at a cabaret table, take part in activities and see local and international performers, including:

– Tumble Circus from Ireland, winners of the best circus show award at the 2012 Adelaide Fringe Festival.

– Clown Les Vitamines from Canada in street theatre and WA’s Little Bobo with an adaptation of a children’s book featuring puppetry, storytelling and an orchestra.

– Circus family The Chipolatas from the UK.

– Vaudeville act The Pitt Family Circus from NSW.

Live music will include performances by Hall and Velvet Playboys, Darling Buds of May, the Brow Horn Orchestra and Bellville Gypsy Jazz Quartet.
