THE Knit and Natter group has received $3000 from the State Government.

Wanneroo MLA Sabine Winton visited the group based at the Pearsall Hocking Community Centre on December 5 to present the funds.

“Knit and Natter plays a vital role in bringing together members of the community in a safe, supportive environment, whilst contributing much needed clothing to people in need,” she said.

Group founder Eleanor Rigby said members, who knit clothing and blankets for charities and community groups, were grateful for the support.

“This year we have knitted some 11,292 items, so this funding goes a long way in helping us to purchase the wool and materials to keep us going,” she said.
