After more than four years of letter writing back and forth from Marmion to Uganda, they met when the Watoto Children’s Choir visit Perth on a recent Australian tour.

‘Meeting Madrine was amazing, absolutely amazing, you can’t even fathom it,’ she said.

‘She was very grateful and humble, they are very respectful ” the children called me aunty.’

Ms Hutchison said she felt blessed to be born in Australia and that sponsorship gave a child a chance at a quality life.
