PHILANTHROPIST Ros Worthington will have a book signing in Wanneroo on Monday.
Her life story, The Power of Giving, shows how strength, courage and passion can make a difference and inspire others.
Dr Worthington has been the driving force behind several charities, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation in WA, Breast Cancer Care WA (formerly the Breast Cancer Foundation of WA), Lifeline and the Love Angels Foundation.
“Although I was initially somewhat a reluctant author, the publishing of this book and finally holding it in my hand is the realisation of a long-held dream I’ve had to spread the word about the power of giving,” she said.
“I plan to use this book as the vehicle I need to demonstrate just how powerful it can be to give rather than receive.”
She will give a speech at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre on October 17, and tickets to the event include a signed copy of her book and light refreshments.
