A visit to the Philippines with Buckets for Jesus founder Ruby Soh in January prompted her to organise a monster garage sale on April 5 to 6, at 45 Randell Crescent.

The two women saw the country’s typhoon and earthquake devastation first-hand, visiting small villages to hand out donated clothing, food and water.

Mrs Laundy hopes to raise $10,000 from the garage sale ” her third for victims of natural disasters ” to help build sustainable homes and for water and rice.

‘I came back from the Philippines aware that I had to generate some money to help the people there,’ she said.
