The milestone photo is of Edward (Ted) James Fraser Sears, at the farm established by George and Joyce Sears in 1935.
It was at Nine Mile Well in Wanneroo, which is now in the suburb of Greenwood. George Sears Park is in this area today.
Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said the online project enabled the City to share untold stories of its fascinating history.
‘It is a result of cutting-edge digital image technology, old-school local librarianship and ongoing support from library professionals, the local community and the City of Joondalup,’ he said.
