Displaying 130 paintings, the upcoming exhibition is a chance for the society’s 88 members to share their art with the community.

Society vice president Rayma Reany said the group met each Monday evening in Duncraig where members would paint and share ideas and techniques.

‘I have been a member for 10 years and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the chance to grow as an artist,’ she said.

‘Six artists will also be demonstrating painting with pastels over the weekend,’ she said.

The event runs from October 11 to 12, from 9am-5pm at Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club, opening on October 10 at 7pm.Elizabeth Fabri
