Tonight marks the grand opening of the new motorcycle speedway at Pinjar Park, Neerabup.

It will double as the Speedway Motorcycle Club WA State titles for solo and sidecar racing.

Reigning and three-time world 500cc solo champion Tai Woffinden will compete for his first home State final. He will be up against international seeded solo stars Daniel Winchester and Cameron Heeps in a field of interstate Australian titleholders and visiting UK riders.

Woffinden was raised in Ocean Reef and moved over to England to pursue his solo career.

He won his first title after entering the GP mix (top 16 riders in the world) as a wildcard in 2013, and has built up a big profile in the UK and Europe.
