The closure is part of the project to connect Perth’s CBD with Northbridge and will allow the Public Transport Authority to complete construction of the station’s platform six and overhead electrical wiring to divert trains through the new Fremantle line tunnel.
The new platform will be used to cater for special events.
From 10pm on Friday, October 11 to the first service on Monday, October 14, the Fremantle and Thornlie lines will be closed, as will the Mandurah line between Rockingham and Mandurah and the Midland and Armadale lines will stop at Claisebrook.
The Joondalup line will be unaffected.
PTA spokesman David Hynes said replacement buses would be provided.
‘We are confident that we are doing everything we can to move passengers as efficiently as possible,’ he said.
He said there would also be night closures during the coming months.
