PUBLIC consultation on playground plans for Casserley Park will close next week.

The City of Wanneroo has invited feedback on two options to develop the Girrawheen park between Emmanuel Christian Community School and Beach Road until May 8.

A climbing structure in option one.

Both options would include nature play elements, seating and a picnic shelter, but differ in the types of play equipment to suit different age groups.

Option two’s climbing structure.

“Both options have a younger years area and an older years area and both play spaces will incorporate shade sails over the primary areas,” the concept plan said.

It said playspaces would be located in gaps in the existing vegetation to use natural shade where possible and limit impact on the existing trees.

Option two dinosaur with slide for younger years.

It said proposed footpaths would improve access and custom seating platforms would incorporate artwork.

“Throughout the space logs, timber steppers and rocks connect the play elements and allow creative play opportunities,” it said.
