INDIE roots artist Thelma Plum will take the stage in Hillarys next month to headline the first Music in the Park concert for the 2014-15 series.
The opening concert will be held at Mawson Park on Saturday, November 15, with support from indie pop four-piece Stillwater Giants and Perth folk pop singer songwriter Helen Shanahan.
Plum burst on to the Australian music scene in 2012, winning the triple j Unearthed competition and being named new talent of the year at the National Indigenous Music Awards.
She has previously completed a run of sold-out national shows, supported artists such as Elvis Costello and Bob Evans and played at festivals including Woodford Folk Festival and Bluesfest.
There will be children’s activities from 6pm and music from 6.45pm to 9.30pm.
