Major Crime Squad detectives believe 30-year-old Bradley Hugh Hoddy, of no fixed address, was murdered when he went missing on August 4.

Last week marked eight years since his disappearance, with police and Mr Hoddy’s family still searching for answers.

He had a son aged one at the time, who has since turned nine.

A second son, now aged six, was born after Mr Hoddy went missing.

‘Tragically, this week marks the anniversary of this young father’s untimely death and we need the public’s help to bring closure to this matter,’ Inspector Gene Pears said last Thursday.

‘Mr Hoddy’s family, particularly his two young sons, and his friends deserve answers.’

Police said two friends who were with Mr Hoddy at the shopping centre about 5pm were the last two people to have seen him.

Officers believe the missing man travelled somewhere in the northern suburbs to meet someone later that day.

‘We are trying to trace Mr Hoddy’s movements throughout the afternoon and evening of August 4, 2006,’ Insp Pears said.
