POLICE have confirmed bodies of two children were discovered at a Madeley home on Friday evening.
It is believed the girls were aged six and 10 and their mother was found with self-inflicted injuries near the beach on October 25.
Homicide detectives are at the scene investigating.
Police were called to a house in Bogdanich Way about 5.50pm where the deaths of two children were discovered.

A WA Police spokeswoman said later yesterday evening a woman, believed to be the mother of the children, was located near a coastal carpark in the northern suburbs and taken by ambulance to hospital.
“The woman is currently under police guard and is yet to spoken to over the tragedy,” she said.
“Homicide Squad detectives are leading the inquiry into the deaths of the children.

EARLIER: POLICE are investigating the deaths of two people at a northern suburbs home.
A WA Police spokeswoman said police were attending a home in Bogdanich Way, Madeley in which the bodies had been located overnight.
“Police are seeking to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths and are unable to provide further information at this time,” she said.
“At this point in time WA Police have no information to indicate there is any ongoing threat to members of the public.”
Police are expected to provide more information later on October 26.
