Police investigate suspicious bushfire in Pinjar Pine Plantation

A SUSPICIOUS bushfire burnt through about 1.5ha of the Pinjar Pine Plantation yesterday.

Several Parks and Wildlife Service, volunteer bushfire brigade and Forest Products Commission firefighters attended the fire, reported about 9.44am on January 20 in the Pinjar Motorcycle Area in the City of Wanneroo.

Authorities issued the ‘all clear’ advice about 3.50pm and asked people to report suspicious behaviour to Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000.

There was a total fire ban across parts of Perth yesterday and the fire danger rating was severe.
