Police looking for missing man last seen in Tapping area

UPDATE, June 23: WA Police say John Thomas (29) has been found safe and well overnight.

He was taken to hospital for assessment.

Local police, mounted police, State Emergency Services (SES) volunteers and SES search dogs are looking in bushland.

Mr Thomas was last seen in the Tapping area about 8.30pm on Wednesday and is known to frequent the Mullaloo, Scarborough and Joondalup areas.

His car was found near the intersection of Wanneroo Road and Joondalup Drive.

He is described as 175cm tall, with fair skin, a solid build, brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing denim jeans, dark shoes, and a grey/black hooded jumper with an orange stripe and ‘Kooga’ written across it.

Police hold serious concerns for his welfare.
