Police raided the man’s home on Thursday, alleging they discovered about 1kg of cannabis and 19 plants.

Western Power officers attended the scene because the electrical wiring was deemed unsafe, police said.

It was the first time the man, aged in his 30s, had been charged by police. He is expected to face charges including drug possession with intent to sell or supply, cultivating a prohibited substance and possessing drug paraphernalia in Joondalup Magistrates Court this month.
