Police raid Marangaroo home after tip-off, find drugs and weapons

COMMUNITY information led to a police raid at a Marangaroo home and the seizure of drugs and weapons last week.

Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Fairlie said officers searched the Borden Road property on Thursday, May 11, after a tip-off about suspicious vehicles at the home.

Investigators questioned four men, charging two later. Both were aged 36.

Police seized 5g of methamphetamine, 4g of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and cash. They also discovered flares believed to have been stolen from the SES, an air rifle, an allegedly stolen trailer and ammunition.

Police charged one of the men with six offences including drug possession with intent to sell or supply, unlawful possession of goods and the unsafe storage of a firearm.

Another man was charged with possession of methamphetamine, cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
