Fire crews were called to a scrub fire, which began on the eastern verge of Pinelake Trail about 2.15pm on January 7.
The blaze threatened residential properties as it burned in a north-easterly direction towards Coogee Road.
Crews extinguished the fire before it damaged property, but it burnt through more than 4ha of land.
