Protection plan in |place for space’s future

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

The Bush Forever site is one of the City’s top five natural areas, covering about 60ha of bushland containing regionally significant plant communities including jarrah-banksia woodland.

The Warwick Open Space bushland management plan describes environmental risks such as weeds, plant diseases, fire and non-native fauna that could affect the biodiversity values of the area and proposes management strategies to minimise them.

The plan will enable the City to prioritise maintenance schedules, increase opportunities for grant funding and provide guidance to employees, contractors and Friends groups.
