The 2014 Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony, held in Central Park South, saw people from 14 different countries take the pledge.
‘In choosing Joondalup to live, the City’s newest Australians could not have picked a more beautiful part of the world to call home and start the next chapter of their lives,’ Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said.
The ceremony included the Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards.

The Joondalup Men’s Shed won the Active Citizenship Award for community. The third award, for a person under 25, went to Greenwood’s Rida Ahmed, the inaugural president of The University of WA’s International Relations Society.
