Purple is colour of care at Bethanie

Bethanie sites, including those in Yanchep and Warwick, hosted a range of activities from February 21 to 27 to inspire residents, staff and volunteers to reconnect spiritually, encourage greater compassion and respect, and improve everyone’s wellbeing.

Events included high teas with purple cakes, a chaplaincy services, purple-themed quizzes and songs, purple decorations and outfits and a screening of the movie The Lady in the Van.

Chaplains co-ordinator David Van Leen said Purple Week was about acknowledging Christian heritage, celebrating commitment to providing spiritual care to clients and inspiring respect and kindness.
