Quinns Rock home search nets drugs and guns; man (43) charged

AN unlicensed firearm, methylamphetamine and cannabis were found during police search of a Quinns Rocks home last Thursday.

Clarkson Police Senior Sergeant Stephen Foley said Local Policing Team 3 executed a search warrant at a Gordon Avenue house on April 28.

Sgt Foley said police charged a 43-year-old man after seizing drugs, weapons, an unlicensed firearm and a motorbike they believed stolen from the property.

“He has been charged with possession of methylamphetmine with intent to sell or supply (and) possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply,” he said.

Sgt Foley said the man, due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on May 18, was also facing general drug possession charges and cultivating cannabis.

Police also charged him with possessing an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and a prohibited weapon.

“A stolen motorbike was recovered from the property which we are making further enquiries into,” Sgt Foley said.
