Radio-controls on the tarmac

Club co-founder Samantha Cools said she organised the RCs on Tarmac event to promote the sport of radio control.

‘It is also an opportunity for the general public to come and see what radio control clubs are about,’ she said.

‘It is the first time an event of this sort has ever been held in WA and sponsors are already approaching me for the event to be held again in the coming year.’

She said the event would include radio-|control drag racing, circuit racing and a ‘show n shine’.

‘The event is open to all radio-controls of any scale and type ” cars, buggies, boats, aeroplanes, helicopters, trucks are all welcome,’ she said.

Entries are open until 11am on the day or at www.thebuggyshed.com. Cost is $15 for racing, $10 for show or $20 for both.

Spectator entry is free and there will be prizes and giveaways on offer.
