As revealed online by the Weekender last Saturday, the home of the Falcons will be rebranded as HBF Arena from July.
‘From West Perth Football Club’s point of view, we believe this to be an exciting step forward for the Arena Joondalup complex,’ Mr Crute said.
‘Any additional revenue from a sponsor such as HBF can only assist in keeping the costs down for all tenants at Arena Joondalup and enables VenuesWest to continue to improve the standard of facilities for all members of the local community.’
VenuesWest chairman Graham Partridge said funds generated from the sponsorship agreement would go back into maintaining the venues, which also includes Challenge Stadium to be rebranded as HBF Stadium.
‘It’s hoped with the combined customer base of HBF, who have more than 900,000 members, and VenuesWest, it will bring more patrons to the venues and increase the involvement and exposure to clubs such as the West Perth Football Club and Netball WA to the broader community,’ he said.
The agreement, which is for three years with an option for an extra two years, will include discounts for HBF members including entry to swimming pools, gym memberships and free weekly group fitness classes.
