Rescue helicopter visits sea group

Rescue 65‘s pilot, a crewman and a St John critical care paramedic spoke of operational capabilities and difficulties on rescue missions.

WVSRG’s rescue boats have helped Rescue 65 crews practise winching accident victims from a vessel at sea.

WVSRG has recreational skipper’s ticket courses on the last weekend in September, October and November for new skippers, family members and spouses wanting to become confident in handling the family craft.

An advanced boating skills course will also run over five Monday nights, starting on September 2.

The course will finish with on-water coaching in a rescue training vessel or owner’s boat.
