The WA Women’s Motorcycle Riders hosted the annual ride on October 5, with about 50 riders travelling from Middle Swan through the Chittering Valley to Barbagello Raceway.
‘Unfortunately Sunday turned out to be not an ideal day for motorcyclists to be out on the road for a ride,’ spokeswoman Denice Mulcahy said.
‘Riders, bikes and helmets were dressed in pink shirts, tutus, bunny suit onesies, bow ties, bunting, headlight lashes and feather boas which made a colourful sight on a dreary day.
‘Riding safely is always paramount and everyone took it easy from the start at Middle Swan and used their experience and wet weather riding skills.
‘Car drivers were courteous and gave a toot or a wave of encouragement to the pink two-wheel rider convoy.’
The riders raised $2500 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
