‘I’ve been thinking about doing something for a while but didn’t know what I wanted to do,’ she said.

After seeing her daughter’s friend take part in the World’s Greatest Shave last year, Ms Morup decided she would do the same to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Soon after, her brother-in-law was diagnosed with lymphoma for the second time so it ‘all went hand-in-hand’.

‘Rob thinks it’s pretty good,’ she said. ‘He’s pretty proud I’m doing it.’

While Ms Morup said her hair is usually quite short, she has not had a haircut since August and she is looking forward to shaving it off.

Along with her fundraising efforts, Ms Morup will host a family fun day at Ern Halliday Recreation Camp including archery, vertical climbing, swings, bouncy castles and face painting.

After the event, her brother-in-law or daughters will shave her head at a gathering for family and close friends.

‘At the end of the day, as long as I raise money for a worthy cause that’s all that matters,’ she said. Go to my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/Robynmorup.
