Rock, Rattle and Roll Festival: Wanneroo to rock on for Telethon

CELEBRATE all things vintage and retro while raising money for Telethon at the inaugural Rock, Rattle and Roll Festival in Wanneroo this weekend.

Running over two days, the festival kicks off at Wanneroo Showground on the evening of October 15 with a line-up of rock ‘n’ roll acts including the UK’s Carlos Bandido, Tamworth singer-songwriter Ezra Lee and Perth performer Johnny Law.

There will also be an appearance by American pin-up model Sabina Kelley, vintage markets, motorcycle displays, pin-up workshops, dance floor, bar and food trucks. Sunday will offer a family-friendly atmosphere with markets, children’s entertainment, vintage and special interest vehicles on display, live music, pin-up parade and workshops, air-brushing demonstrations and charity motorcycle ride.

Organiser Michelle Kolk said all profits from the event would be donated to Telethon.

“I doubt there is a family anywhere in WA that has not been touched or assisted in some way by the work Telethon does,” she said.
