Rotary Park revegetation

The students were helping revegetate the local bushland near Lake Joondalup, planting 490 trees over two sites provided by the City of Wanneroo. Environmental organisation Perth Region NRM co-ordinated the event.

‘The day was designed to help engage and mentor young Nyungar people and teach them practical skills while enhancing local communities and bushland,’ cultural heritage program manager Diana Neuweger said.

The Foundation provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with support in gaining employment and building life skills.
