RUN WALK FOR LIFE

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

The program is designed to train every age and fitness level from runners to people with heart problems and is even suited to pregnant women.

‘In the past two months, we have been working with a lady who had a stroke not even a year ago, and before she came to us she could not do 10 minutes exercise, now she is walking 5km in a session,’ Run Walk for Life Australia director Mark Asling said.

Run Walk for Life uses progressive resistance band training (similar to what physiotherapists use) rather than weight training to help prevent wear, tear, strain and injury.
