The exhibition aims to raise money for orphans in Zvishavane in Zimbabwe.

Maloney wanted to donate her paintings after meeting Church of Christ Pastor Timothy Rinopisa, who helps support 43 children and their foster families through the Zvishavane Orphan Support Program.

‘I want to help raise money for children and their foster carers in Zimbabwe whose parents died from Aids,’ she said. ‘They’ve no money for education, health, shelter or accommodation.’

Proceeds will help provide financial support for 32 more orphans.

Trained in watercolours, Maloney has a number of original pieces, works inspired by accomplished and famous artists, and several young artists will also have work for sale.

Artwork sale: October 17, 7-10pm and October 18, 9am to 5pm at Malaga Church of Christ, 66 Westchester Road.
