SANTA and his sleigh have been spotted travelling the streets of Tapping and Ashby.

Led by Rudolph, 81-year-old Patrick McLanaghan has built a motorised sleigh complete with control board, speakers and lights.

The Pineview Village resident leaves his Ashley Road home just after sunset and cruises the streets to bring Christmas cheer to passers-by.

Mr McLanaghan’s daughter Sonja Greenslade said this was the fourth year her father had taken his sleigh on the road.

“He loves Christmas and dressing up as Santa for the kids,” she said.
