Scholarships offered to entrepreneurs in City of Wanneroo

ENTREPRENEURIAL business owners and residents can apply for two scholarships being offered by the City of Wanneroo through the Curtin Ignition 2019 initiative.

The Curtin University initiative is an intensive, one week entrepreneurial education program for aspiring entrepreneurs, academics and corporate innovators.

“Two applicants will have the opportunity to develop and expand their innovative business concepts within our City,” Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said.

“Initiatives like this scholarship program also help us work towards state employment self-sufficiency targets through supporting strategic employment initiatives.

“Significant growth is forecasted within the City and new ideas and entrepreneurs are needed to drive that forward by generating employment opportunities in new industries.”

In the program, participants will trial and prepare business ideas for the commercial environment.

The program will run from August 25 to 30 and applications close on July 5.
