Principal Mary Blechynden said the school was proud to be one of the initial schools involved in program.

‘At Beldon Primary School our children are learning the importance of healthy eating and effective lifestyle choices through the sharing of fresh, organic, seasonal food that they have grown and harvested themselves,’ she said.

‘The children will be able to take the skills they are learning and use them throughout their life.’

The program began at a primary school in Melbourne more than 13 years ago and has grown to include 500 primary schools in every state and territory in Australia.
