School visits prove roaring success

Tyler BrownWanneroo Times

In an Australian first, stars from The Lion King musical including Josslynn Hlenti (Nala) and Nick Afoa (Simba), visited the school’s three campuses – Duncraig, Carramar and the early learning centre in Padbury – conducting mini performances and a question and answer session for the primary school students.

“The opportunity to ask questions and meet with performers from one of the most popular musicals to ever grace Perth is something our students will remember and cherish forever,” performing arts director Natalie Edmunds said.

Principal Tony George said the school was very fortunate for the visit and it gave the students “valuable insight into what life is like as a performer on the stage”. The Lion King plays at Crown Theatre until February 28.
