The structure plan includes entrances from Harford, Burnham and Roydon ways, residential development densities of R40 and R60 and 808sq m of public open space.
In a submission to the City of Wanneroo, a Roydon Way resident said more public open space would allow for a play area for children and lessen the ‘negative impact’ of the new development on surrounding landowners.
City staff noted the comment and said the area already exceeded the required 10 per cent of land dedicated to public open space.
It also noted Hainsworth Park, which had a playground, cricket pitch and court facilities, was 200m from the structure plan area.
Wanneroo councillors deemed the structure plan satisfactory at their September 16 council meeting and agreed to forward it to the WA Planning Commission.
The City will adopt the structure plan if it is approved by the WAPC.
