ART celebrating Aboriginal culture created by visiting artist Troy Bennell and local school students went on display in Wanneroo last month.

Bennell worked with students at Wanneroo, Madeley, Yanchep Beach, Roseworth, Alkimos and Hocking primary schools in May to develop art based on the six Nyungar seasons and local area.

The art pieces were displayed at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre’s Collecting Stories and Telling Tales’ exhibition.

Students attended an event at the centre on July 22, where Shaun Nannup gave the Welcome to Country and the Baldja Moori Dancers performed.
