The time capsule ” sealed when the school opened ” was buried 30cm underground.

Principal Leonie Martin said WA Museum paper and fibres conservator UlliBroeze-Hornemann, conservation scientist Vicki Richards and metals conservator Jon Carpenter were surprised at the condition of the items inside.

‘There was no damage whatsoever to any of the contents,’ she said.

Editions of The Australian, the Times and TV Week from 1988 were retrieved. Other items included drawings and photographs, student work and a program for the official launch of the school.
