Service in kitesurfer’s memory

Partner Margo Malone said the couple’s son Milo (5) wanted anyone attending to decorate a tree the boy called ‘Papa’s tree’, where Mr Sprod died on Marine Parade, with love hearts.

‘Local residents were incredibly generous with Milo’s wish for the tree to be decorated at Christmas and it brought us much joy at such an incredibly difficult time,’ she said.

Kiters donated about $28,500 for Milo’s education. The memorial service will be at the tree at 4pm on Sunday, September 21.
