Six-month food truck trial at City of Wanneroo

FOOD truck operators are encouraged to apply to be part of a trial run by the City of Wanneroo.

The six-month food truck trial will run at various parks in the City, following two models of operation.

Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said the first involved a nominated operator co-ordinating the trucks fortnightly at Blackmore Park in Girrawheen, Highview Park in Alexander Heights and Shelvock Park in Koondoola.

“Others interested in co-ordinating under this model are encouraged to contact the City,” she said.

“The second model involves a limited number of registered operators trading in specific times in approved areas throughout the City, including Avondale Park in Mindarie, Goal Way in Madeley, Mintaro Park in Quinns Rocks, Neville Park in Wanneroo and Warradale Park in Landsdale.

“The trial is in response to community feedback and as a community-driven initiative, we encourage people to suggest other possible locations by contacting the City.”

Sites need to be at least 500m from an existing food outlet, away from community facilities, have easy access from main roads, close to homes and be highly visible.”

People can email location suggestions to facilitybooking@wanneroo.wa.gov.au.
