Sox n Jox Appeal: generosity fills donation box

Community Newspaper Group and Radio 6PR ran the appeal in conjunction with Homelessness Week, aiming to help people in need around Perth.

Joondalup sales support co-ordinator Judi Shelton said thanks to the community’s “extreme generosity”, the branch’s collection box had overflowed with donations of socks and underwear.

“It was a huge response, much more than previous years,” she said.

“We had approximately 12 big green plastic bags. Hopefully we can do as well next year.”
