Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

The former Kalgoorlie Miner reporter, who attended Yanchep District High School, has written short stories about Goldfields crime in the 1990s.

Rocchi, who writes as CE Rocchi, will discuss The Driller’s Wife and other Kalgoorlie crime stories as part of the live and learn sessions from 10-11.30am.

The author said that as a young reporter, she would observe criminals in court ” and sit alongside them in restaurants.

Goldfields residents, from prostitutes and ‘weary coppers’ to pastoralists, gold stealers and ‘cheeky kids’, inspired her tales.
