Stolen puppies seized

A police spokeswoman said both dogs were believed to be about five weeks old and were malnourished and living in poor conditions.

"Both are very young and should be with their mother," she said.

�Police believe that the puppies were stolen and traded for drugs.

"We are hoping to locate the owner of the puppies so they can be reunited with their mother."

Four people were charged in relation to the search warrant but no charges had been laid at the time of going to print in relation to the two puppies.

A 24-year-old North Perth man was charged with two counts each of aggravated reckless driving (pursuit), aggravated failing to stop (pursuit), stealing a motor vehicle and driving recklessly, and driving a motor vehicle with false registration plates and one count each of possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply and unlawful possession. He is due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on June 18.

A 21-year-old Dianella woman will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date on the charge of possessing a prohibited drug.

A 38-year-old Kenwick man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date on the charge of stealing a car.

A 44-year-old Alexander Heights man was charged with unlicensed possession of dangerous goods (fireworks) and is due to appear in court at a later date.
