WAIMA fundraiding for cancer

Tyler BrownWanneroo Times

Each year, the WA Institute of Martial Arts, based in Greenwood, Currambine and Myaree, hosts a charity campaign to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer charities.

UFC fighter Soa Palelei visited the Greenwood centre to support the institute’s ‘sparathon’ event where adult members pledged to spar for one continuous hour.

The following day, the centre held its annual ‘kickathon’ where junior members as young as three pledged to do a certain number of kicks for sponsorship.
