PERTH string ensemble Fiddlesticks visited students at Landsdale Primary School last month as part of a State tour.
Musicians Rachael Aquilina, Sophie Curtis and Duncan Gardiner performed to about 300 students from years 3 to 5, playing a wide repertoire spanning classical, contemporary and original music.
Music teacher Andrew Angel said the visit was the culmination of a music program students had been learning over several weeks.
“It was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience a live performance,” he said.
“All the students were really excited and it enriched their musical education.”
Mr Angel said they participated by combining movements with the music and some students were invited to play the instruments.
The school was one of 30 that Fiddlesticks visited across Perth.
