Year 6 teacher Andrea Gill said each class had worked to put together a hamper over the past month, but some exceeded expectations and collected four hampers.

Mrs Gill said the school delivered a total of 55 hampers to St Bartholomew’s House in Perth.

“They will assist St Bartholomew’s House to provide Christmas cheer to 370 male clients, 180 female clients and 30 families,” she said.

“The school community has really rallied to this cause and the response from St Bartholomew’s was overwhelmingly grateful.”

Mrs Gill said the Year 6 student councillors organised the event and motivated others in the school community to help.

“It feels good to help others and look what we can achieve when we all work together,” student Fatima Merchant said.

“I just can’t believe how much we received, it’s going to make such a difference,” student Amy McDonald said.
