Unlike the Adelaide 36ers on Monday night, the Waddington children were able to chalk up a win against the Wildcats, completing a two-point victory over the visitors in a friendly game last month.

The Wildcats players had worked with the Year 6 and 7 students for the past term, helping with reading and encouraging regular school attendance.

Principal Gary Bryant said as university graduates the players were excellent role models for the students.

‘It has been an absolute pleasure to host the team and we thank them for supporting our goals ” learning to read and being present at school to learn,’ he said.
