Students wriggle while they learn

The students wriggled as much as the worms they held while they learnt about the slimy invertebrates and their role in the environment.

Waste education officer Peg Davies taught the youngsters about recycling and sustainability, using the worms as an example of how to work towards a sustainable future.

Students also made a recycled plant pot out of newspaper and planted tomato seedlings to take home.
