‘I think it’s not a bad idea; it’s a new day and age,’ he said on 6PR after Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan showed off the test at Joondalup Police Academy last week.
‘We all remember those old-fashioned country police sergeants who would always be down the pub; just part of the community and they’d be the same size as everyone else.
‘But I think policing’s changed, especially with drugs. And there is a lot of really dangerous offenders out there on the streets all the time.
