A SURFER was rescued off the coast of Hillarys last Saturday morning during a weekend that experienced huge swells.
Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue Group Commander Mark Carruthers said the group responded to a rescue call about 9.30am Saturday after the man's inflatable boat capsized while he was surfing.
"Not long after, another vessel capsized at the entrance to Ocean Reef Marina," he said.
